1 Kings 19 vs 19- 21
So he departed from there, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he was with the twelfth. Then Elijah passed by him and threw his mantle on him. 20 And he left the oxen and ran after Elijah, and said, “Please let me kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow you.”
And he said to him, “Go back again, for what have I done to you?”
21 So Elisha turned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen and slaughtered them and boiled their flesh, using the oxen’s equipment, and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he arose and followed Elijah, and became his servant.

Elisha was busy ploughing and came Prophet Elijah who threw his mantle upon him. Elisha understood that it was a call from God.
When God calls you, you come with a certain identity. Elisha was a rich man but when he answered the call remarkable things came out of his life . Most of you when you meet God, you are not ready to change. The challenge is that, you want to receive Jesus Christ and remain unchanged. The old identity represents the dead and God cannot bless the dead. When you receive Jesus you must change your way of life. Most of you have not quit your old way of life but you want to be blessed. Everyone who has been recorded in the book of law had their identities and they were changed into servants. When you become a servant you become great in the Eyes of God. As long as you are still holding unto your identity, you are not going anywhere. Successful people are the servants in the Eyes of God.
Luke 5 vs 8-11
8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!”
9 For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish which they had taken; 10 and so also were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men 11 So when they had brought their boats to land, they [a]forsook all and followed Him.

Most of us here are following Jesus yet still holding unto our old identity. Peter did not remain a fishermen but he allowed God to use him and he became a fisher of man. Do not hold unto your old identity, be a servant, allow God to use you, you will be transformed. The one who lives in sin, will never see the Hand of God. Loose your identity( what you are known for), you will witness the Hand of God. Your heart is carrying wrong things and it cannot accommodate God's Spirit. Empty yourself and allow God to give you a new system.
Matthew 5 : 3
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven
.................
Those who are poor in the spirit are the people who have emptied and removed the information of this world. The people who witness the power of God are those who are poor in the spirit. Most of you, you are rich in the spirit that is why you are struggling. Empty yourself everyday and you will become a successful person. If you want to be lifted by God, loose that wrong information that you are carry. Never allow your age or position to blind you. For you to become a successful person you should lose your identity and the information you carry . Never allow someone who is not successful to mentor you, they will destroy you.
Matthew 11 vs 12
12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.
...............
The above scripture refers to those who are diligent seekers and vigilant people. The ones who are hungry for God are the ones who will take it by force. God is looking for aggressive people. Do as many things as you can. Aim higher and God will see you through. Amen.
